Amanda Spearman was born in Ottawa, Ontario in 1990. She works predominantly in the medium of sculpture and installation art. She has participated in student exhibitions in and around Kelowna, BC, including at the Vertigo Art Gallery and Headbones Gallery in Vernon.
Much of Amanda's work involves making figurative work using plaster-based materials. Currently she is exploring feminist issues, particularly pertaining to violence against women. Amanda will complete a BFA at the University of British Columbia in 2014.
